The Caesar salad was as good as one would expect it to be, and the croissant was a pleasant surprise! Very flaky with just the right amount of honey butter! The seafood grits contain big, fresh shrimp that were perfectly seasoned and the scallops were cooked to perfection. The sauce had just the right amount of crab not overtake the flavor. The creamy cheese grits strike a delicate balance and are neither runny nor thick. The andouille sausage tastes freshly made with how the spices stand out instead of having the “I’ve been on the shelf for 3 months” flavor of what you get in the grocery stores. The toast is perfect for sopping up the sauce prior to diving in. Eat this dish slowly and savor every bite.
The best in Sumter, SC! We have been twice already and the 2nd time was better than the first! Stephen (Steven) was our waiter and he was excellent ! You must ask him for a magic trick On top of that, he was attentive to us and never acted like he didn’t have time for us. Definitely order the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The best I have ever had. Seriously! I recommend doing a reservation because they are very busy on a Friday and Saturday night if you are from out of town like we are. But if you don’t, it’s worth the wait time. The restaurant is very clean and a family environment so bring the kids. We will be coming back the next time we are in town.
I was recommended to Willie Sue’s and I am glad I took up their suggestion. I broke with tradition and ordered Jack’s Breakfast for Dinner. It is a hearty helping of three eggs cooked to order, bacon, grits, fruit, and toast. The staff were courteous and accommodating to another person who has gluten sensitivity and surprised him with a gluten-free option. This is a must for Sumter visitors.
I had the BBQ Chicken Baked potato and it was sooooo good!! The alligator bites and hushpuppies were yummy. My moms salad was great as well she just wanted more cucumbers. Food came out fairly quick and the waitress was nice even though we were being indecisive about what we wanted on the menu, she never gave attitude and showed plenty patience. I will definitely be going again.
The entrance looks so nice I thought that's how the rest of the restaurant looked but it didn't. They had homemade tartar sauce and blue cheese salad dressing 10 out of 10. The appetizers were great, my food was amazing, the service was okay, the atmosphere needs work.
The customer service here is so good! I felt very welcome here. The atmosphere is very family friendly. The dinner menu is amazing, we loved the food. I highly recommend trying some appetizers if you can, the catfish bites are amazing and the fried pickles are good as well. The blackened chicken dish was really good, and their steaks are great. The menu has plenty of options to fit your budget. Before tip we spent roughly $124 including 2 appetizers and a couple of sodas and there were 7 of us!
